Yellow Lemon Misson

Artist Teacher Exchange, Battersea Arts Centre

Collaborating with artist Annie Siddons and primary school teacher Brinder Baines we ran a series of creative workshops where the children directed the details of their own misson. Using audiotapes, postcards, email, phone calls, characters , games and installaton the children accomplished their misson by navigated their way around the school building and grounds.

'If I ruled the World...' SPARK, Battersea Arts Centre and Sing up

SPARK, Battersea Arts Centre and Sing up.

A collaboration with Artist Stuart Silver and year 10 students at Falconbrook School in South London to make a performance. We created our own sound language and film. This language was developed by making sound signs that could be used to for compositions and improvisations, for a group performance.

On A High Note' SPARK@ BAC and Sing up

Collaboration with year 7, to write and record a tune. Music was made using voice and found sound from classroom objects*. The tune was composed using ideas created during improvisations together. We recorded in a studio at BAC, as part of the Album 'On a high Note'. *A ruler scraped across a radiator makes an excellent snare drum! (march 09)

'Inventions' Step on and Brighton and Hove council Film Projects

A series of two film projects at Patcham youth centre Two stories of magic, transformative situations, drama and absurdity.

'Bicycle Belles Orchestra'

Funded by Sustrans and National Lottery.

Making music en masse on bikes using bicycle bells. A collaboration with Anna Casey to create a musical scale and design a notation system. This was used for Schools projects, carnival parades, and an adult bell orchestra.

'Happy Singers' Buckingham road day centre

An ongoing collaboration with adults with learning difficulties. We play improvised experimental music using a plethora of sound tools and our voices. The Happy singers performed a live soundtrack for filmmaker Yellow Bear at Brighton Fringe festival 2008 in a disused space under Brighton station.

Beats Culture' Thames festival

huge parade playing through bicycle led sound system. Live Drum and Bass using samba instruments, Live vocals and horn section. 6 secodary schools in South London, ran vocal workshops to write songs for the tunes...
